1. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme.
- Hivi ndivyo nilivyosikia — wakati mmoja Bhagavā alikuwa akiishi Sāvatthī, katika Msitu wa Jeta, katika hema la Anāthapiṇḍika.
2. Tatra kho āyasmā sāriputto bhikkhū āmantesi – “āvuso, bhikkhave”ti.
- Hapo Mtukufu Sāriputta akawaita wamonaki: “Enyi wamonaki.”
3. “Āvuso”ti kho te bhikkhū āyasmato sāriputtassa paccassosuṃ.
- “Ndugu,” wamonaki wakamjibu kwa heshima.
4. Āyasmā sāriputto etadavoca –
- Mtukufu Sāriputta alisema hivi —
5. Cattārome, āvuso, puggalā santo saṃvijjamānā lokasmiṃ.
- “Ndugu, kuna watu wanne wanaoishi duniani wakiwa wamoja na hali yao ya ndani.
6. Katame cattāro?
- Ndi yapi hao manne?
7. Idhāvuso, ekacco puggalo sāṅgaṇova samāno ‘atthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti.
- Kwanza, ndugu, kuna mtu ambaye hana utulivu wa ndani (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’) lakini hauelewi kweli.
8. Idha panāvuso, ekacco puggalo sāṅgaṇova samāno ‘atthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti.
- Halafu, ndugu, kuna mtu ambaye ana utulivu wa ndani (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’) na anafahamu hivyo kweli.
9. Idhāvuso, ekacco puggalo anaṅgaṇova samāno ‘natthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti.

11. Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo sāṅgaṇova samāno ‘atthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti, ayaṃ imesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ sāṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ hīnapuriso akkhāyati.
- Hapo, ndugu, kati ya wawili walio na hali ya ndani wakiwa wameshawaka (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’) lakini hauelewi, huyo ndiye aneitwa ‘mtu mdogo wa kiroho’.
12. Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo sāṅgaṇova samāno ‘atthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti, ayaṃ imesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ sāṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ seṭṭhapuriso akkhāyati.
- Hapo, ndugu, kati ya wawili walio na hali ya ndani wanaofahamu (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’), huyo ndiye aneitwa ‘mtu bora wa kiroho’.
13. Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo anaṅgaṇova samāno ‘natthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti, ayaṃ imesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ anaṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ hīnapuriso akkhāyati.
- Pia, ndugu, kati ya wawili wasiokuwa na utulivu wa ndani lakini wasioelewi (‘sina utulivu wa ndani’), huyo ndiye ‘mtu mdogo wa kiroho’.
14. Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo anaṅgaṇova samāno ‘natthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti, ayaṃ imesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ anaṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ seṭṭhapuriso akkhāyatī’’ti.
- Na kati ya wawili wasiokuwa na utulivu wa ndani na wanaofahamu (‘sina utulivu wa ndani’), huyo ndiye ‘mtu bora wa kiroho’.
15. Evaṃ vutte, āyasmā mahāmoggallāno āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ etadavoca –
- Hivyo iliposikika hayo, Mtukufu Mahāmoggallāna alimwuliza Mtukufu Sāriputta hivi —
16. “Ko nu kho, āvuso sāriputta, hetu ko paccayo yenimesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ sāṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ eko hīnapuriso akkhāyati, eko seṭṭhapuriso akkhāyati?
- “Ndugu Sāriputta, sababu gani au kipimo gani kinachofanya kati ya watu wawili walio na utulivu wa ndani (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’), mmoja akeitwa mdogo wa kiroho na mwingine akeitwa bora wa kiroho?
17. Ko panāvuso sāriputta, hetu ko paccayo yenimesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ anaṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ eko hīnapuriso akkhāyati, eko seṭṭhapuriso akkhāyatī?”
- Na ndugu Sāriputta, kwa nini kati ya watu wawili wasiokuwa na utulivu wa ndani (‘sina utulivu wa ndani’), mmoja akeitwa mdogo wa kiroho na mwingine akeitwa bora wa kiroho?”
18.“Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo sāṅgaṇova samāno ‘atthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti,
- “Ndugu, yule mtu kati ya wale wawili walio na utulivu wa ndani (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’) lakini hauelewi kweli,
19. tassetaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ – na chandaṃ janessati na vāyamissati na vīriyaṃ ārabhissati tassaṅgaṇassa pahānāya;
- kwenye hatari yake – hatapenda kufanya lolote, hatatengeneza juhudi wala kuanzisha bidii kulinda utulivu huo;
20. so sarāgo sadoso samoho sāṅgaṇo saṃkiliṭṭhacitto kālaṃ karissati.”
- msukumo wa tamaa, ghadhabu na upotovu utamfanya hasta apotee tena.
21. “Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo sāṅgaṇova samāno ‘atthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti,
- “Ndugu, yule mtu kati ya wale wawili walio na utulivu wa ndani (‘nina utulivu wa ndani’) na anafahamu hivyo kabisa,
22. tassetaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ – chandaṃ janessati vāyamissati vīriyaṃ ārabhissati tassaṅgaṇassa pahānāya;
- kwenye fursa yake – hucheza na nia, hutumia juhudi, na huanzisha bidii kulinda utulivu huo;
23. so arāgo adoso amoho anaṅgaṇo asaṃkiliṭṭhacitto kālaṃ karissati.”
- asiye na tamaa, ghadhabu wala upotovu, na akili safi, atabaki thabiti.
24. “Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo anaṅgaṇova samāno ‘natthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti,
- “Ndugu, yule kati ya wale wawili wasiokuwa na utulivu wa ndani (‘sina utulivu wa ndani’) lakini hauelewi hivyo kweli,
25. tassetaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ – subhanimittaṃ manasi karissati, tassa subhanimittassa manasikārā rāgo cittaṃ anuddhaṃsessati;
- kwenye hatari yake – atajitokeza tamaa ya kufuata dalili za wema; akili yake itachocheka kwa tamaa,
26. so sarāgo sadoso samoho sāṅgaṇo saṃkiliṭṭhacitto kālaṃ karissati.”
- na tamaa, ghadhabu na upotovu, vitamfanya apotee tena.
27. “Tatrāvuso, yvāyaṃ puggalo anaṅgaṇova samāno ‘natthi me ajjhattaṃ aṅgaṇa’nti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti,
- “Ndugu, yule kati ya wale wawili wasiokuwa na utulivu wa ndani (‘sina utulivu wa ndani’) na anafahamu hivyo,
28. tassetaṃ pāṭikaṅkhaṃ – subhanimittaṃ na manasi karissati, tassa subhanimittassa amanasikārā rāgo cittaṃ nānuddhaṃsessati;
- kwenye fursa yake – hatakataa dalili za wema; bila tamaa, ghadhabu au upotovu,
29. so arāgo adoso amoho anaṅgaṇo asaṃkiliṭṭhacitto kālaṃ karissati.”
- na akili safi, atabaki thabiti.
30. Ayaṃ kho, āvuso Moggallāna, hetu ayaṃ paccayo yena imesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ sāṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ eko hīnapuriso akkhāyati, eko seṭṭhapuriso akkhāyati; ayaṃ panāvuso Moggallāna, hetu ayaṃ paccayo yena imesaṃ dvinnaṃ puggalānaṃ anaṅgaṇānaṃyeva sataṃ eko hīnapuriso akkhāyati, eko seṭṭhapuriso akkhāyatī.”
- “Hii ndiyo, ndugu Moggallāna, sababu au kipimo kinachofanya kati ya hawa wawili walio na utulivu wa ndani, mmoja akeitwa mdogo wa kiroho na mwingine bora wa kiroho; na hii ndiyo sababu kinachofanya kati ya hawa wawili wasiokuwa na utulivu wa ndani, mmoja akeitwa mdogo na mwingine bora wa kiroho.”
31. Aṅgaṇaṃ aṅgaṇanti, āvuso, vuccati.
- “Utengano huitwa utengano, ndugu.”
32. Kissa nu kho etaṃ, āvuso, adhivacanaṃ yadidaṃ aṅgaṇa?
- “Lakini swali ni, ndugu, kwa nini usemi huu huitwa ‘utengano’?”
33. Pāpakānaṃ kho etaṃ, āvuso, akusalānaṃ icchāvacarānaṃ adhivacanaṃ, yadidaṃ aṅgaṇa.
- “Huu ni usemi unaoashiria tamaa na matendo mabaya—ndiyo maana huitwa ‘utengano.’”
34. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya— ‘āpattiñca vata āpanno assaṃ, na ca maṃ bhikkhū jāneyyuṃ āpattiṃ āpanno’ti.
- “Pengine mtawa fulani atataka kosa lake lizingatie kimyakimya: ‘Hakika nimekosea, lakini wamonaki hawawezi kujua nimekosea.’”
35. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ taṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū jāneyyuṃ— ‘āpattiṃ āpanno’ti.
- “Lakini wamonaki watasema: ‘Huyu mtawa amekosea.’”
36. ‘Jānanti maṃ bhikkhū āpattiṃ āpanno’ti—iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wamonaki wanajua nimekosea,’ basi mtawa huyo atakasirika.”
37. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo—ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote ni mifano ya ‘utengano.’”
38. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya – ‘āpattiñca vata āpanno assaṃ, anuraho maṃ bhikkhū codeyyuṃ, no saṅghamajjhe’ti.
- “Pengine mtawa fulani atataka kosa lake lichunguzwe kimyakimya: ‘Hakika nimekosea, lakini wamonaki waanzie mazungumzo nami kimyakimya, sio mbele ya Sangha.’”
39. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ taṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū saṅghamajjhe codeyyuṃ, no anuraho.
- “Lakini wamonaki watamtaka mbele ya umati wa wamisioni: ‘Ni lazima tukabiliane na kosa lake hadharani, si kimyakimya.’”
40. ‘Saṅghamajjhe maṃ bhikkhū codenti, no anuraho’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wamonaki wananihimiza mbele ya Sangha, wala si kimyakimya’—hivyo mtawa huyo atakasirika na kujiona ametendewa usaliti.”
41. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote ni mifano ya ‘utengano.’”
42. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya – ‘āpattiñca vata āpanno assaṃ, sappaṭipuggalo maṃ codeyya, no appaṭipuggalo’ti.
- “Pengine mtawa atataka ushauri kutoka wale walio na mazoea mema, sio wale wasiopitia mafunzo: ‘Nilikosea; niwaambie wale walio na uzoefu, si wasio na uzoefu.’”
43. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ taṃ bhikkhuṃ appaṭipuggalo codeyya, no sappaṭipuggalo.
- “Lakini hasha! Yule asiye na mazoea ndiyo ndiye atanionya, si yule mwenye mazoea.”
44. ‘Appaṭipuggalo maṃ codeti, no sappaṭipuggalo’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wasiopitia mafunzo waninyooshea vidole, si wale walio na uzoefu’—hivyo atakasirika na kujiona amedhalilishwa.”
45. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote ni mifano nyingine ya ‘utengano.’”
46. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- “Pengine mtawa fulani atataka mimi tu nionyeshwe kama Mwalimu wa kuhoji na kujibu Dhamma mbele ya wamonaki, si mwenzie,”
47. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya, na taṃ bhikkhuṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya.
- “Lakini wamonaki watamtuma mtawa mwingine afundishe Dhamma mbele ya wamonaki, si mimi,”
48. ‘Aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseti, na maṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ desetī’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wamonaki wanamfunzia yeye, wala si mimi,’ basi atakasirika na kujiona amedhalilishwa.”
49. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote ni mifano ya utengano.”
50. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- “Pengine mtawa fulani atataka mimi tu niwe wa kwanza kuingia kijijini kwa chakula pamoja na wamonaki, si mwenzie,”
51. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya paviseyyuṃ, na taṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya paviseyyuṃ.
- “Lakini wamonaki watamchagua mwenzie kuingia kijijini kwa chakula, si mimi,”
52. ‘Aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya pavisanti, na maṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya pavisantī’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wamonaki wanamhudumia yeye, si mimi,’ basi atakasirika na kujiona amedhalilishwa.”
53. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote pia ni mifano ya utengano.”
54. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- “Pengine mtawa fulani atataka mimi tu niwe mwalimu anayeuliza na kujibu mara kwa mara mbele ya wamonaki, si mwenzie.”
55. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya, na taṃ bhikkhuṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya.
- “Lakini wamonaki watamtuma mwenzie afundishe Dhamma baada ya yeye kuhojiwa, si mimi.”
56. ‘Aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseti, na maṃ satthā paṭipucchitvā paṭipucchitvā bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ desetī’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wamonaki wanamfahamu yeye, wala si mimi,’ basi huyo mtawa anakasirika.”
57. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote ni mifano ya utengano.”
58. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- “Pengine mtawa fulani atataka mimi tu niwe wa kwanza kuingia kijijini kwa chakula pamoja na wamonaki, si mwenzie.”
59. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya paviseyyuṃ, na taṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya paviseyyuṃ.
- “Lakini wamonaki watamchagua mwenzie kuingia kijijini kwa chakula, si mimi.”
60. ‘Aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya pavisanti, na maṃ bhikkhū purakkhatvā purakkhatvā gāmaṃ bhattāya pavisantī’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- “‘Wamonaki wanamhudumia yeye, wala si mimi,’ basi huyo mtawa anakasirika.”
61. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- “Haya yote pia ni mifano ya utengano.”
62. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- Kwa kweli, ndugu, kuna hali inayowezekana ambapo kwa mtawa fulani hutokea hamu ifuatayo –
63. ‘aho vata ahameva ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyyaṃ, na añño bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyyā’ti.
- ‘Laiti ningekuwa mimi tu ndiye ninayefundisha Dhamma kwa watawa walioko kwenye nyumba ya mapumziko, si mtawa mwingine.’
64. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ añño bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya, na so bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya.
- Kwa kweli, ndugu, kuna hali inayowezekana ambapo mtawa mwingine ndiye anayefundisha Dhamma kwa wale watawa walioko kwenye nyumba ya mapumziko, si huyo mtawa.
65. ‘Añño bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ deseti, nāhaṃ ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dhammaṃ desemī’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- ‘Mtawa mwingine anafundisha Dhamma kwao, lakini mimi sifundishi,’ na hivyo yeye hujaa hasira na kutoridhika.
66. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- Na, ndugu, hasira hiyo na kutoridhika huko – vyote viwili ni uchafu (aṅgaṇa).
67. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- Kwa kweli, ndugu, kuna hali inayowezekana ambapo kwa mtawa fulani hutokea hamu ifuatayo –
68. ‘aho vata ahameva ārāmagatānaṃ bhikkhunīnaṃ dhammaṃ deseyyaṃ…pe… upāsakānaṃ dhammaṃ deseyyaṃ…pe… upāsikānaṃ dhammaṃ deseyyaṃ, na añño bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ upāsikānaṃ dhammaṃ deseyyā’ti.
- ‘Laiti ningekuwa mimi tu ndiye ninayefundisha Dhamma kwa watawa wa kike… kwa wafuasi wa kiume… au kwa wafuasi wa kike walioko kwenye nyumba ya mapumziko, si mtawa mwingine.’
69. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ añño bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ upāsikānaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya, na so bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ upāsikānaṃ dhammaṃ deseyya.
- Kwa kweli, ndugu, kuna hali inayowezekana ambapo mtawa mwingine ndiye anayefundisha Dhamma kwa wale wafuasi wa kike walioko kwenye nyumba ya mapumziko, si huyo mtawa.
70. ‘Añño bhikkhu ārāmagatānaṃ upāsikānaṃ dhammaṃ deseti, nāhaṃ ārāmagatānaṃ upāsikānaṃ dhammaṃ desemī’ti – iti so kupito hoti appatīto.
- ‘Mtawa mwingine anafundisha Dhamma kwao, lakini mimi sifundishi,’ na hivyo yeye hujaa hasira na kutoridhika.
71. Yo ceva kho, āvuso, kopo yo ca appaccayo – ubhayametaṃ aṅgaṇaṃ.
- Na, ndugu, hasira hiyo na kutoridhika huko – vyote viwili ni uchafu (aṅgaṇa).
72. Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ idhekaccassa bhikkhuno evaṃ icchā uppajjeyya –
- Kwa kweli, ndugu, kuna hali inayoweza kutokea ambapo mtawa fulani angetamani hivi –
73. ‘aho vata mameva bhikkhū sakkareyyuṃ garuṃ kareyyuṃ māneyyuṃ pūjeyyuṃ, na aññaṃ bhikkhuṃ bhikkhū sakkareyyuṃ garuṃ kareyyuṃ māneyyuṃ pūjeyyu’nti.
- ‘Laiti ningekuwa mimi tu ndiye ambaye watawa wangeniheshimu, wakanitukuza, wakaniheshimu, na kuniabudu; si mtawa mwingine yeyote.’

89. ‘Laiti ningekuwa mimi tu ninayepokea milo bora ya mchele… makazi bora… au dawa bora kwa ajili ya wagonjwa, si mtawa mwingine.’ Ṭhānaṃ kho panetaṃ, āvuso, vijjati yaṃ añño bhikkhu lābhī assa paṇītānaṃ gilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhārānaṃ, na so bhikkhu lābhī assa paṇītānaṃ gilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhārānaṃ.

- 'Laiti kijana huyu Samīti angeweza kurekebisha mduara huu wa gari kwa kuondoa makosa haya yote, basi mduara huu ungekuwa sawa na thabiti.'
134. Yathā yathā kho, āvuso, paṇḍuputtassa ājīvakassa purāṇayānakāraputtassa cetaso parivitakko hoti, tathā tathā samīti yānakāraputto tassā nemiyā tañca vaṅkaṃ tañca jimhaṃ tañca dosaṃ tacchati.

144. Seyyathāpi, āvuso, itthī vā puriso vā daharo yuvā maṇḍanakajātiko sīsaṃnhāto uppalamālaṃ vā vassikamālaṃ vā atimuttakamālaṃ vā labhitvā ubhohi hatthehi paṭiggahetvā uttamaṅge sirasmiṃ patiṭṭhapeyya,

- Hivyo basi, wale majitu wawili walithibitisha maneno mazuri ya kila mmoja wao.
